1. Career Guidance and Councelling Cell:

  2. The Cell for Career Guidance and Counseling has been set up in the college to offer to the students as a sense of direction and an exposure to the range of openings and job possibilities available to them as they pass out of the college. The objective of setting up the Cell includes the idea of preparing the student to launch in to the next phase of life confidently and equip her/him with the ability to use and connect ‘learning’ with the living of life. Different kinds of activities will be organized by the Cell in order to:

    • Invite possible agencies/NGOs/Corporate sector/institutions/training agencies etc. for placement of the outgoing students who seek jobs.
    • Offer information about various entrance exams and scholarships available for higher education in India and abroad.
    • Provide them exposure to different kinds of career options
    • Create a base of strong values for work
    • Build a strong sense of identity and confidence through workshops in self-development
    • Hone their skills and talent
  3. Skill Development Courses:

    The College offers skill development courses in computer education under the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India and Khasi Traditional Music in collaboration with the office of the Director of Arts and Culture, Govt. of Meghalaya. Interested students may contact the teacher in-charge of the courses.

  4. Library:

    The College library possesses a large number of books on subjects related to the courses taught with a total collection of around 8500 books. It has Separate reading room for students and faculty to put their raw ideas into perspective. Besides text books and the books related to the academic requirements, the library also subscribes leading magazines, journals leisure books, competitive books, and books related to general awareness. Previous years question papers are also kept for ready reference by the students and teachers. Internet facilities (INFLIBNET) are provided to help the students browse for profound reading materials related to their course of study. The library also houses a Book Bank. It renders services to the students by providing them with text books for the whole academic session for which the students are required to apply as and when notified. For rules and regulations pertaining to library, students are advised to get in touch with the librarian.

  5. ICT Classrooms:

  6. Keeping up with the development of modern technology, the College provides ICT enabled classrooms to improve teaching and learning process. LCD projector is also installed in the seminar room for projecting films/presentation, etc. related to the course of study. Besides the above, Computer Laboratory equipped with good number of computers with internet connectivity and Digital Language Lab, Wi-Fi enabled campus and book bank facility, etc. are available.

  7. Conference Hall and seminar Room:

Nomination for this award is made by each Department on the basis of academic grades, extra-curricular activities, relationship with College community and how they have impacted the community life in the College and their overall performance spanning over two to five years of their studentship.

  9. Canteen:

  10. College has one Canteen and a Coffee Shop in its campus. The College canteen is open from 8.00 am to 6.30 pm.

  11. Women Hostel:

    With a view to provide “Education for All” and to ease the same, hostel facility is provided within the College campus for out stationed women student. The rules and regulations pertaining to Hostel are available from the Teacher In-Charge of Women Hostel.

  12. Gender Sensatisation:

  13. Women Welfare Committee (WWC) is constituted in the college in accordance with the section 4 (1) of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. Any girl student/member of the faculty/non-teaching staff may approach this committee for aid. Women Welfare Committee (WWC) is extremely alert to the matters pertaining to sexual harassment of women and gender insensitivity in the College. A Committee, comprising of members from the teaching and non-teaching staff and students representatives is constituted to supervise and monitor the activities of the Committee.

  14. Faculty Mentor Scheme:

  15. The College introduced the faculty mentor scheme in the academic session 2017 – 18. Under this scheme each student admitted to the college is attached with one faculty member who would be his/her guide and counsellor for his/her entire period of stay in the college. Students are encouraged to discuss any issues or problems – academic or personal, with their respective faculty mentors. This scheme aims at building a good student-teacher relationship, in addition to solving the day to day or any long term problems the students may be facing in college or in his personal life.

  16. Parking:

  17. Parking of vehicle is available in the earmarked parking area for the Assistant Professors and guests. In view of the shortage of space, students should park their cars outside the college in the earmarked parking areas
